Questions
The things everyone asks.
Do I need to buy any hardware?
No. Any phone works. The dashboard opens your camera and scans the customer's code. If you'd rather use a till computer, a basic USB 2D scanner (they cost about as much as a couple of coffees) types the code straight into the box, exactly like a keyboard. You can also just type the six digits.
Do my customers need to download an app?
No. It's a website that installs like an app. They tap "Add to Home Screen" and it behaves like the real thing, including working offline for the code screen. Nothing to find in an app store, nothing to update.
What happens when the free trial ends?
Nothing happens to your customers' honey — it is all still there. We ask for no card to start, so if you add one before day 30 the plan simply begins at $4.99 a month or $39.99 a year. If you don't, the scheme pauses instead: nothing is deleted, and adding a card later starts it up again exactly where it stopped.
Can I cancel?
Any time, from your dashboard. It opens the Stripe billing portal and takes two clicks. Your card data stays with Stripe, never with us.
What about GDPR and my customers' data?
Data is stored in the EU. We hold an email address, a name if they give one, and their stamp history. Nothing else, and no card details. Customers can delete their account themselves, which removes their memberships and anonymises their stamp history. Your staff never see another shop's customers.
Can honey be spent at a different shop?
Never. Every shop's honeycomb is completely separate. Stamps you give are only ever redeemable with you. That's deliberate: this is your loyalty scheme, not a shared points network.
